Aromatherapy

Diffuser Blends I Use Every Week

Add drops to your diffuser with water. Adjust ratios to your preference — start lighter, build up.

The Night Shift Wind-Down
Ingredients (for 100ml diffuser)
3 drops Lavender
2 drops Serenity®
1 drop Cedarwood
Directions: Add to diffuser with water. Start 30 minutes before bedtime. I run this on a timer so it shuts off after 2 hours.
✓ Safe for most adults. Use half amounts for children's rooms.

Morning Rounds Wake-Up
Ingredients
3 drops Wild Orange
2 drops Peppermint
1 drop Rosemary
Directions: Perfect to run in the morning while you're getting ready. Uplifting and mentally activating — this replaced my second cup of coffee on many mornings.
✓ Not recommended for diffusing around children under 6 (peppermint).

Cold Season Defense
Ingredients
3 drops On Guard®
2 drops Lemon
1 drop Oregano
Directions: Run during sick season, especially when someone in the house is ill. The combination creates a powerful cleansing aromatic environment.
✓ Oregano is potent — use sparingly and ensure good room ventilation.
Topical Formulas

Roll-Ons & Rub-Ons

All topical blends need a carrier oil. I use fractionated coconut oil — it's light, odorless, and absorbs quickly. Always dilute.

Tension Tamer Roll-On
In a 10ml roller bottle
5 drops Peppermint
5 drops Lavender
3 drops Frankincense
Fill with Fractionated Coconut Oil
Directions: Apply to back of neck and temples at first sign of tension. This is the roll-on I carried through 12-hour hospital shifts.
✓ ~3% dilution — appropriate for adult use. Avoid eye area.

Topical · Sleep
Sleep Tight Foot Rub
Per application
2 drops Lavender
2 drops Serenity®
1 drop Vetiver
1 tsp carrier oil
Directions: Apply to soles of feet before bed. The feet have large pores and absorb well — it's one of the most effective routes for systemic calming effects.
✓ Excellent for children (age 3+) at half dose. Safe during pregnancy (consult first).

Topical · Respiratory
Chest Rub (Homemade)
Makes ~30ml
6 drops Breathe®
4 drops Eucalyptus
3 drops Peppermint
2 tbsp shea butter or coconut oil
Directions: Melt base, cool slightly, add oils, pour into a small jar. Apply to chest and upper back as needed. Better than store-bought and no petroleum.
⚠️ Not for children under 6. Omit peppermint for ages 6–10.

Daily Surface Spray
In a 16oz spray bottle
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup water
10 drops On Guard®
8 drops Lemon
5 drops Tea Tree
Directions: Combine in spray bottle, shake well before each use. Safe on most hard surfaces. Do not use on natural stone (vinegar can damage marble/granite).

Shower Steamer Tabs
Makes ~6 steamers
1 cup baking soda
¼ cup citric acid
15 drops Eucalyptus
10 drops Peppermint
A few drops of water to bind
Directions: Mix dry ingredients, slowly add drops of water until mixture holds shape. Press into molds, let dry 24 hours. Place on shower floor (away from direct water stream).
